What is it like, being an underwater photographer? It is drawing with light in the underwater
world. I imagine a picture, dream it freely in every detail and then create it.
My works are conceived on the surface, out of an idea in my mind that I work through and
plan, and then are always performed underwater with a single shot, and no post-production.
Each stage has its
own challenges.
Initially, I must try to
envisage the image
and what I will need
for it beneath the
water, while in the
totally different
environment. Then
I must gather the
equipment I need
and reach my
desired location.
