Her vivacious oil paintings achieve a startling purity of hue, the colors establishing her work's mysterious, otherworldly aura. Organic streams of blue contrast with outbursts of green or geometric patterns in purple. The figures in Kae's paintings are faceless but full of life, ethereally floating through the world Kae has created. The paintings' settings act as surreal dreamscapes, accessing a visual language that has more to do with sensory experience than with representation.
